Like I said, there aren't quite as many sleeping puppy quotes as there are for other topics (like touching dog quotes, for example).
A lot of lists out there promise 15, 20, even 100 quotes about sleeping dogs, yet when I checked them out, there was literally just ONE that fit the title.
We'd rather give you a short list that's true to the promise in the title than one loaded with filler.
While a few do require a bit of imagination, for the most part every one of these quotes perfectly embodies the beauty, wonder, and sweetness of a sleeping puppy.
1. Sorry, today has been canceled!
What it says: Sorry, today has been canceled. What it means: Sorry, but I'm spending the day in bed with my puppy!
2. Let sleeping dogs lie…
We've all heard the saying "let sleeping dogs lie," right? It basically means "don't stir up trouble." However, David Copperfield took it a step farther an added a bit to it. His quote:
"Let sleeping dogs lie- who wants to rouse 'em?
I like this one better because it implies innocence. After all, who wants to wake a sweet puppy from a happy dream?
3. A nap fixes everything
It's true! There's no day so bad that a good nap can't fix it, especially if you're napping next to a sleeping puppy!
I'm seriously considering grabbing my dog for a quick snooze right now. 😀
4. Contentment embodied
Nathan Crocket said, "A sleeping puppy is contentment embodied." I couldn't agree more.
The only thing that could possibly compete is a sleeping baby! Oooh, or a sleeping puppy next to a sleeping baby! Now that is utter contentment.

Can you imagine what they'd think of us? Like, what would you think if you opened up your best friend's phone and it was just loaded with pictures of you while you're asleep!

When my ex snored, I'd get so mad that I'd huff out of the room all dramatically and go sleep on the couch.

I agree times a million! At one point, I shared my bed with not one, not two, but THREE large breed dogs.
Although I sleep alone now (my dog sleeps with my mom), I got so used to staying in my tiny sliver that one whole side of my bed is like brand-new!
10. Relationship status
Yep, that sounds about right! When my son was a toddler, it took forever to get him down for a nap. My dogs would always come in the bed with us. You know, to "help."
Well, once my son finally fell asleep, I would have to do this weird contortionist thing to get out of the bed without waking the dogs (who would, in turn, wake my son).
Sadly, that's the end of our list of sleeping puppy quotes. I really dug far and wide trying to find more, but apparently people don't have as much to say about doggy nap time as one would think!
